What
is an ENT?
ENT stands for Ear, Nose, and Throat. ENT physicians are also known as Otolaryngologists
and are trained in the medical and surgical treatment of diseases of the ear,
nose, and throat and related structures of the head and neck. ENT physicians
are experts in the treatment of some of the most common medical problems such
as ear infections, sore throats, sinus problems, snoring, and nasal congestion.
However, ENT physicians also do much more than this. For example, ENT doctors
are experts in the treatment of hearing loss, voice disorders, and head and
neck cancer. Many ENT physicians also perform cosmetic and reconstructive surgery.
