Dr. Altman is a board-certified Otolaryngologist-Head and Neck Surgeon who has been with Desert ENT since 1998, which later merged into Valley ENT, PC. He previously chaired the Surgery department at Abrazo Arrowhead Hospital and currently serves on its Professional Practice Evaluation Committee.

Dr. Altman earned his Bachelor of Science from The Ohio State University and completed his medical degree at The Ohio State University College of Medicine. His postgraduate training included a Surgery internship and residency in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery at Henry Ford Health System in Detroit.

Board-certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery, Dr. Altman is actively involved in professional organizations like the American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery, Arizona Society of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery, and Arizona Medical Association. He practices at Metro Surgical Center, Abrazo Arrowhead Hospital, and Banner Estrella Surgical Center, seeing patients at Valley ENT’s Arrowhead and Estrella locations.

Dr. Altman’s clinical expertise spans all aspects of general ear, nose, and throat care, including head and neck surgeries. He co-authored a children’s book titled Don’t Stick Sticks Up Your Nose! Don’t Stuff Stuff in Your Ears! aimed at educating kids in a fun way about ear and nose safety.

Outside medicine, Dr. Altman prioritizes family time with his wife and three children. He is passionate about volunteering for medical missions in Ethiopia, Africa, annually. His personal interests include mountain biking, hiking, fitness, woodturning, and cultivating common and unique fruit trees.
